WOW!!! That is all I can say about this piece!! Large and beautiful just like you! And me! And everyone who can see the beauty that comes from this earth! A 9.5 mm, 4 ct piece of what I call "Candy!" Its a masterpiece made by man. Let me tell you how!
Moissanite was first discovered in Arizona in 1893 by Noble Prize winning French scientist Henri Moissan. His first sample of Moissanite (named after himself) was found inside of a meteorite crater. (Now wouldn't that be cool as hell to find and dig!) While he initially thought he had found a diamond, he took his sample to the lab and discovered it was silicon carbide. VERY rare substance! Moissanite was born. The ability of a gemstone to reflect white light is known as its brilliance. How much light a gem reflects is its "Refractive Index." Moissanite is unique from diamond's because it reflect's more light. Unlike mined jewel's, Moissanite is absolutely conflict free, with guaranteed origin. Many consumers are seeking a more socially responsible form of fine jewelery and appreciate the assurance Moissanite provide's. This is why I have tried with picture's to capture the beauty of this blue! It is impossiable but I feel I am close and you can see clearly this is a work of art!
The other gems! There are 4 Zircon 2.10 mm that go around the front. North-East-West-South. Turn to the side and there are 3 clear Moissanite at E-W-S and measure 1.70 mm. All small stones together are 3 1/3 ct. So....from any angle this piece is a beauty! Who will take this home and hand it down for centuries?
